Finale Album Receives Record 8-Stellar Gospel Music Awards

Finale Tour Produced by Tate and Associates in Partnership with Mpact Events

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – March 14, 2007 - America is not quite ready to let Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Singers make good on their announcement one year ago to part company after 15 years of sharing what is arguably a collection of some of the most inspirational gospel songs ever recorded. Beginning March 21st Lawrence and his Grammy® nominated Tri-City Singers ensemble will commence the spring edition of their critically acclaimed Finale Tour in Macon Georgia at Beulahland Bible Church. Spanning 25 cities over a 5-week span, The Finale Tour will give fans around the nation one last opportunity to experience the vibrant and stylish choir with their gifted director.

The exuberant audiences who attended the Finale Tour during the fall 2006 edition were thrilled by their experience. “They do not just sing (and every one of them can) but they minister the grace of God to the people,” Says Bishop T. Garrott Benjamin Jr., Senior Pastor of Light of the World Christian Church in Indianapolis. “Kudos to Donald Lawrence for his creative compositions as well as his collection of the most gifted group of gospel singers on the planet.”

A renowned perfectionist, Lawrence has crafted a remarkable production that have fans standing on their feet for nearly the entire 90 minute production, which boasts the choir's biggest hits such as the #1 smash single "The Blessings of Abraham, "Oh Peter," "Never Seen The Righteous," and “Encourage Yourself" the current chart toping single featuring the award winning and newly minted solo artist Sheri Jones-Moffitt.

Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Singers have a deep connection with their fans," says Shawn Tate, President of Tate and Associates, Inc., producer of the tour along with partner Mpact Events. During the fall leg of the tour we received several calls from markets not on our original routing asking for the tour. I'm pleased that more fans will now have the opportunity to be inspired by this amazing and historic event.

When The Finale Tour concludes in late April, it will have visited nearly 50 cities covering 29 states. Lawrence, producer extraordinaire is a creative genius who along with his signature aggregation received a record 8 Stellar gospel award statues including Artist and Producer of the Year honors during the 22nd annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards this past January.

Lawrence has produced a bevy of prominent mainstream and gospel artists including Mary J. Blige, Ramsey Lewis, Donnie McClurkin and Kelly Price. Lawrence also claims producer credit on gospel’s legendary Clark Sisters new and much anticipated album Live; One Last Time due in stores this spring.
