Interview with John Cook

New York's own John Cook has the hand that wields "heaven's pen".  He sits down with Conway Norwood and talks about his life and music.

When talking about Rev. Milton Biggham, we are talking about a pastor, a performer, corporate executive and a parent. And, when it comes to gospel music, there’s not a whole lot musically or otherwise that hasn’t felt his stamp and imprint. In the business for what seems like forever, he has recorded, produced, written for and performed with some of the biggest names in the music business.

Carl B:
How do you define your journey from your self-titled debut, “Marvin Sapp,” through your latest release?

Pastor Marvin Sapp: Total and complete maturity. At least 12 years ago when we did our first solo project, I was kind of trying to find myself. Just really, really more or less experimenting with different aspects and style just to see where I fit. And now at 40, I kind of know who I am, and what God has called me to do, and I just try to make things in that area.
